Continents - Library Media Connection

This richly detailed series has many engaging features, and would be useful for student reports or leisure reading. Several features stand out, such as Explore Online and Further Evidence in which students are given a website on a similar topic and encouraged to compare and contrast the information. Full of bold photos, maps, and graphs, this series will fulfill most libraries’ need for intermediate continent books. Recommended.

Continents – School Library Journal

. . . each title does a suitable. . .job of examining its titular landmass, geology and geography, and animals and plants. Each title also contains original source material (a speech, for instance) that is meant to encourage children to think about the writer’s intentions. These books would be fine purchases for schools that investigate the continents rather than individual countries.
