Paleo-Indian Period
The Paleo-Indian Period is one of three major historical periods in American Indian prehistory. During this time, early peoples migrated from Asia to North and South America. They spread across the land, living as hunter-gatherers and making stone tools. As land and wildlife in the region changed, people developed new ways of living and surviving. The Paleo-Indian Period explores how people lived during the period and how archaeologists continue to study Paleo-Indian artifacts. Easy-to-read text, vivid images, and helpful back matter give readers a clear look at this subject. Features include a table of contents, infographics, a glossary, additional resources, and an index. Aligned to Common Core Standards and correlated to state standards. Core Library is an imprint of Abdo Publishing, a division of ABDO.
