They are informative and well captioned. The texts are written in short, simple declarative sentences, making the information readily accessible to the targeted audience. Boldfaced type indicates a word that is contained in the glossary, although in many cases the narrative sufficiently conveys its meaning. In general, these books offer young children a positive view of American Indian cultures in a bright, accessible format.
