ABDO Expands Abdo Zoom with Imprints

EDINA, Minn. – ABDO (abdopublishing.com), a leading educational publisher, holistically rebrands its Abdo Zoom division to include three new imprints. Each imprint focuses on nonfiction topics and delivers information in different ways to meet the unique needs of young readers.
“The market is asking for more nonfiction titles in varying formats, including titles for report writing at primary levels, leveled readers, and hi-lo titles for reluctant and struggling readers,” says Editor-in-Chief Paul Abdo. “To meet this need, we are expanding our Abdo Zoom division.”
Abdo Zoom titles will now feature titles written for PreK–8 readers. The three new imprints focus on providing engaging nonfiction to young readers.
Launch! – This PreK–2 imprint features all the original Abdo Zoom content in a refreshed look. Vibrant photographs combine with simple text, fun facts, and quick stats to immerse young readers in beginning research.
Dash! – These K–4 leveled nonfiction readers will build emergent reading skills and vocabulary as readers progress through three reading levels.
Fly! – Written at a second-grade reading level, these hi-lo nonfiction titles will interest readers from Grades 2–8. Simple text fuse with fascinating facts and exciting pictures to create a stimulating learning experience for a variety of grade levels.
These imprints will make their first appearance with the release of Spring 2018 titles, available December 15, 2017 from ABDO.
PreK–2 readers can still explore content in depth with the four Abdo Zoom online databases: STEAM, Animals, Animales (in Spanish), and Biographies.
