ABDO Expands Web-enhanced 4D Nonfiction with New Imprint

EDINA, Minn – (abdobooks.com), a leading educational publisher, launches DiscoverRoo, a new imprint in the Pop! division, which features free, web-enhanced 4D nonfiction.

Building off the success of its predecessor, Cody Koala, DiscoverRoo expands the 4D web-enhanced concept, targeting readers in grades 2–5. QR Codes* embedded in each book link young readers directly to videos, activities, booklinks, and more to further their learning. If QR code scanners are not available, readers can use the unique website addresses printed in each book to discover these free, fun features.

“We are excited to expand these great resources for more young readers,” says Editor-in-Chief Paul Abdo. “These books provide an interactive opportunity for more in-depth learning and discovery.”

Readers are encouraged to reflect on what they’ve learned with the Making Connections portion of each title, available both in-book and online. Making Connections focuses on three different concepts: connections to themselves, connections to another text, and connections to the world. Additional Teacher Resources are provided for each title to broaden the connection to learning experience.

DiscoverRoo is the newest Pop! imprint, launching with four new series. With DiscoverRoo’s additional online components, young readers will explore a variety of interesting and important concepts: Amazing Young People, Extreme Weather, Football in America, and Inside the Military. These series will be available in August 2019.
