After graduating from MIT, Anthony "Tony" Stark inherited Stark International. While testing one of S.I.'s inventions, he was kidnapped by Advanced Idea Mechanics, known as A.I.M. Stark was forced to create weapons for A.I.M., but instead built an iron suit and used it to escape. He returned to America and became Iron Man - Tony Stark's bodyguard and head of security for S.I.
