Editorial Review
Moth Riders - School Library Journal
Aster and her friends live in a world with giant insects. The people of her village are taught to fear bugs by their tyrannical leader, Gerlach, and his army, the Six Leg Slayers. To prevent the destruction of all insects, she decides to mount a resistance, and when some of the insects agree, Aster and her crew become Moth Riders. The six graphic novels in the series complete the story and cover a wide variety of lessons valuable to any reader: survival, harmony with nature, learning to defend yourself, standing up for your beliefs, and even sacrificing for a cause. This well-paced story is begging for a film adaptation. VERDICT This series offers a glimpse at a society that functions well with all kinds of different creatures working together for the common good.
